A Blood Angels Marine shares a human moment with a fleeing mother and her daughter.

A new Artwork for you all. This is a portfolio peice thats taken a while to finish between other things.
I'm quite pleased with this, the lighting being great fun to mess with.

I wanted to show that a Space marine is meant to be something like 9 foot tall after all the genetic manipulation that have, so putting one next to a normal human mother and her daughter really brought that comparison home.

I liked drawing the little space marine plush toy the girl has in her hand. Kind of a nice little story there as the girl, who's been playing with her teddy, final meets the real thing and is awe struck by it.

Interesting concept. You don't often see that kind of depht in warhammer 40k art. You should do another one like that.

For all their bravado about honor and glory, we must all remember that in the end the God-Emperor created the Space Marines as the defenders of Humanity, and that deep down, they are still Human. And only when Astartes forget this do they began to walk the road to damnation and ruin.
